On November 25th, International Symposium on Cross-border E-commerce Industry Development was held in Nantong Institute of Technology(NIT). This symposium is hosted by NIT and China Shipper’s Association(CSA).

The guests attending the meeting included Gao Hongyu, Director of Nantong Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Professor Chen Jin, Vice Chairman of the Teaching Steering Committee of E-commerce in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, Director of the Research Center of Modern Service Industry of the University of International Business and Economics, Professor Gu Liping, Vice President of NIT, Professor Xu Haining, Vice President of NIT, Zheng Liang, Vice Chairman of CSA, Professor Tang Bingyong, Donghua University. Gu Liping delivered the welcome speech, and Professor Lu Jianxin, dean of Business School of NIT, presided over the opening ceremony.

Vice President Gu pointed out that cross-border e-commerce industry, as one of the important engines of today's world economic development, is booming at an unprecedented speed. Under the background of implementing China's double-circulation industry strategy, promoting the Belt and Road initiative, and realizing common prosperity together, cross-border e-commerce has become a new form and model of foreign trade and a new direction of e-commerce development. The e-commerce major of NIT has been awarded as the first-class undergraduate major in Jiangsu Province. To develop cross-border e-commerce, we should seize the opportunity and promote the sustainable development of the industry. He hopes to share the latest achievements, exchange and collide new ideas through an open communication platform.

There are 9 experts and scholars including Professor Chen Jin, Professor Tang Bingyong, Vice President Zheng Liang, Professor Jin Guichao, expert of Zhejiang E-commerce Promotion Association think tank, Associate Professor Deng Hengjin, School of Economics and Management, Nantong University, Assistant Vice President Dr. Liao Chunpeng of krirk University, Thailand, Associate Professor Abdo of National University of Malaysia, Professor Qian Minghuan of Mokwon University, Korea, and Xu Jianning of CSA, made a wonderful keynote report at the conference.
